Today marked a historic and proud moment for our national martial art, Alpagut!Ganbar Aghayev, a world champion and Azerbaijani champion in Alpagut, who is both an athlete and a coach at the Aghdam Alpagut Branch of the Azerbaijan Alpagut Federation, had the honor of meeting with President Ilham Aliyev in the Kengarly village of the Aghdam region.
During the meeting, President Aliyev showed interest in the sport that Ganbar is involved in. Mr. Aghayev proudly provided extensive information about our national martial art, Alpagut.The direct interaction of a young athlete, a young Alpagut practitioner, with the head of state serves as a significant motivation, a strong stimulus, and above all, a profound source of honor and pride for his personal development, sports career, and future endeavors.
