- He was born in 1981 in the city of Sumgait, Republic of Azerbaijan.
- Â In 2006, he graduated from the accounting and auditing faculty of Sumgayit State Technical College, in 2020 from the Faculty of Physical Education of Kalmykia State University, and is currently studying for a master’s degree in public administration.
- Since 2000, he served in the frontline military service, was appointed as the head trainer for hand-to-hand combat training for personnel in H/H No. located in Aghdam region of the armed forces, and completed his military service in 2002.
ACTIVITY
Activities in the public sphere
From 2007 to 2010, he was the Chairman of the Sports Department of the Youth Organization of the World Congress of Azerbaijanis. He has been a member of the New Azerbaijan Party since 2009. He was the co-founder and co-chairman of the “Looking to the Future” Public Movement, which was created in 2013 and includes more than 20 public associations.
Sports activities
- Since 1992, he has started training with martial arts. In 1992-1994, he trained in the Boxing section headed by Honored Coach Mubariz Bashirov in Sumgait city, and in Kyokushin Karate club headed by Abulfat Hajizade in Sumgait city in 1995-1998. At the same time, he participated in judo and sambo sports training.
- The first Karate degree was given by Sensei Aladdin Mirzayev, the founder of Azerbaijan Kyokushin Karate School, a student of Sosay Masutatsu Oyama.
- Since 2002, he has started training Ashihara and Enshin Karate, which are types of contact fighting, and has increased his sports degrees.
- In 2004 and 2006, Kancho participated in the international martial arts seminar organized by the International Martial Arts Confederation in the Naro-Fominsk region of Russia and received the 2nd and 3rd degrees.
- In 2013, he was awarded the title of 4th degree international master of sports by participating in a seminar organized by Grand master of Mixed Martial Arts, Dan Severn, in Odessa, Ukraine.
As a sports founder
He started doing research on Turkic Martial Arts since 2008, and in 2011, under his leadership, many clubs in Azerbaijan united and established the Turkic Martial Arts Center. This center has created various combat systems of its own. He decided to enrich the Turkish Martial Art and turn it into a single concept, based on these newly implemented combat systems.
In 2014, thanks to the researches of Vasif Namazov, the martial arts of the Turkic peoples that have lived from ancient times to the present have been refined, and a martial art consisting of a rich training and examination program, 5-system competition rules and a self-defense system, reflecting the ancient martial culture of the Turkish noble peoples, Alpagut Turan martial art. art was established.
This martial art, whose name is Alpagut, originates from the martial culture of the Turkic peoples, so it was branded Turan Martial Art. (Turan: homeland of Turkic peoples). The purpose of choosing this brand is to demonstrate that Alpagut belongs to all Turkic peoples.
The fighting systems within the Alpagut Turan martial art are called: 1st system Aycha, 2nd system Batur, 3rd system Jaymaz, 4th system Gurshag, 5th system Kachut.
FOUNDER OF THE ALPAGUT:
According to the order No. 37 of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 14.10.2014, the name Alpagut belonging to the Turan geography, the historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic-Nomadic peoples, researcher, international-level sports master Namazov Vasif Imran oglu, as an author in the martial art of the same name has been officially authorized for use and has been Patented by the State Committee on Patents of the Republic of Azerbaijan with certificate No. 201400542 of the claim document dated 11.17.2014. In addition, with the Certificate No. 04/C-8157-15 dated 10.16.2015 of the State Copyright Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the methodological tools programs developed for the implementation of Alpagut training were approved.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Since 2014, Vasif Namazov has achieved success in the international arena as the author of the Alpagut martial art and the chairman of the Board of the World Alpagut Federation. On August 30, 2022, he was re-elected as the Chairman of the Board of the World Alpagut Federation.
