Opening ceremony of the second World Championship of martial art Alpagut took place on 22 nd of November, 2019, in Sargadchi Olympic sportive center.
The ceremony began from team parade.
Speaking at the opening ceremony the President of World Association of
Alpagut Nisamy Jafarov told that due to care and attention of the President Ilham Aliev sport develops swiftly in our country. He expressed confidence that sphere of influence of Alpagut will extend form year to year. “Due to care and attention of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev sport develops swiftly in our country. Our sportsmen are making great strides in international arenas. An interest to Alpagut is growing. We believe that this kind of sport will have further gain interest around the world,” – assured Nizami Jafarov.
Gudrat Nuriev – President of Federation of Alpagut or Azerbaijan, Ganira Pashaeva – Firat Vice-President of The World Association of Alpagut, Azer Ganasoi – President of Association of martial arts of Azerbaijan, champion of Olimpic Games Elnur Mamedly, founder and chairman of the Board of The World Association of Alpagut Kutsan Wasif Namazov and others wished success to participants of the World Cup.
More than 500 sportsmen from Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Germany, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkiye, India, Pakistan, Iran, Georgia, Ukraine, Cameron, Irak, Italy, Bangladesh, Liviya, Hungary, Egypt, Nepal, Nigeria,Nepal (24 countries) competed in five fighting systems ( Aycha, Batur, Jaimaz, Gurshak and Kachut ) of Alpagut.
More than 200 sportsmen were representing Azerbaijan at the tournament.
Based on the results of three days competitions national team of Azerbaijan won first place in overall standings. Turkey team has got the second place, Iran’s team has taken the third place.
Sportsmen winners were awarded with medals and diplomas.
Ganira Pashaeva, First Vice-President of The World Association of Alpagut, introduced the winners.
